White wedding in Sonoma County

One of the top questions I get from brides, especially fusion couples who may be having an Indian and a Western ceremony, is "do henna and a white wedding dress go together?" I think you'll find your answer today.

Here is an absolutely stunning set of photos of the wedding one of my friends and long-time customers, the gorgeous Nina May and her handsome groom Dan.

When I asked Nina what her wedding shoes looked like, she realized she hadn't picked out shoes for the wedding yet, and it was only a couple of days away. A couple of moments later, I saw a slight smile creep across her face and then she declared that she was going to abandon the idea of shoes altogether. Who needs shoes when you have gorgeous henna patterns on your feet!

Because Nina is a huge henna fan, and she goes to great lengths to get the perfect color, including leaving her henna on as long as possible, avoiding water for at least a day, and oiling the design before showering. Her commitment to getting a great color really paid off!

These gorgeous photographs were taken by Rachel Balunsat. So, are you convinced? I am! White wedding dress and henna for the win!
