You might have seen photos floating around Pinterest and Instagram of "white henna". And it looks awesome, right? Here we will discuss what it is and how to get the look.
Fact: There is no such thing as White Henna. What??Henna is a plant that stains the skin reddish brown. There is white body paint (which is usually face paint, and washes off the same say), white glitter and adhesive (which wear off in a few days), and white or metallic temporary tattoos. In some cases, people even use toxic paint that was not meant to be used on the body, scary!
- Fact: Foil tattoos last 4-10 days and are non-toxic, waterproof, and made to meet all regulatory requirements of the USA cosmetic and toy industries. Here at Henna Lounge we collaborated with Nüd Ink to create our own line of henna-inspired metallic tattoos, which are available on our sister site Henna Guru.
